Dante Alighieri Academy
Dante Alighieri Academy (Official name: Dante Alighieri Catholic Academy; also known as Dante Alighieri Academy Catholic Secondary School) is a Toronto Catholic District School Board-based high school serving Lawrence Heights in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, founded in 1974 by the Sisters of St. John the Baptist. It is named after Dante Alighieri, a major Italian poet of the Middle Ages in the 13th century.

A satellite campus was established in 2006 (as "Dante Alighieri Academy Beatrice Campus") due to overcrowding conditions at the main campus. From 2006 to 2011 the school was located at 640 Lawrence Avenue West, formerly Bathurst Heights Secondary School and vacant since 2004 after the departure of Brebeuf College School. Since September 2011 is has been at the current location, formerly Sir Sandford Fleming Academy (opened 1967 as Sir Sandford Fleming Secondary School).
The campus is also named after Beatrice Portinari,〔()〕 a Florentine woman who has been commonly identified as the principal inspiration for Dante's works.
